Tiny Skate Park

庭に小さなスケートパークをDIYで少しずつ製作中です。スケートボードはアメリカから来た文化ですが、ランドスケープとして、駐車場として。日本の生活と日本家屋、田園風景に溶け込む滑れるランドスケープを目指しています。

山脈のようなアール面の上からは琵琶湖の湖面が少し顔をだします。
水の文化である日本文化を体現すべく、琵琶湖、水のはった田んぼに続く水をイメージし、
エッジを丸めて表面張力を感じさせるデザインにしています。

I'm gradually building a small DIY skatepark in my garden. Skateboarding is a culture that came from America, but I aim to create a skateable landscape that blends into Japanese life, Japanese houses, and the countryside—as mountains, water, and landscape, as a parking lot.

From the mountain-like quarter pipe, the surface of Lake Biwa peeks out slightly.
To embody Japanese culture, which is a culture of water, the design evokes the image of water flowing from Lake Biwa to the flooded rice fields,
with rounded edges that suggest surface tension.

宿泊される方はご利用いただけますが、岩や木花、製作中につき段差などもございます。大変危険な箇所もございますのでご自身の滑走技術にあった速度で、完全自己責任にてご利用ください。

Although it is unfinished, I am slowly building a tiny DIY skate park in my garden. Guests can use it, but there are rocks, flowers, and steps that are currently under construction. There are some very dangerous spots, so please use at your own risk and at a speed that suits your skatboarding skills.
Available hours8:00 – 18:00
※Please note that skating of these hours is strictly prohibited as it may cause a nuisance to the surrounding residents.

スケートパーク　ルール

  • 当スケートパークは公共のスケートパークよりはるかに小さく、岩や木、花などもあり、一部大変危険な箇所もございます。宿泊者さま専用のプライベートパークになりますが、ご利用の際には完全自己責任にて、ご自身の滑走技術にあった滑りをして下さい。怪我などされましても当方では一切の責任を負いかねます。傷害保険などもご自身でご加入ください。（プロテクターやヘルメットの着用をお勧め致します。）
  • スケートボードの滑走により、器物破損の場合には修理代など実費を頂きます。
  • スケートパークご利用可能時間は9:00 – 18:00となります。近隣住民の方々のご迷惑となりますのでそれ以外の時間はご利用厳禁となります。

Skatepark Rules

  • This skate park is much smaller than a public skate park and has rocks, trees, flowers, etc., and some parts are very dangerous. Although this is a private park exclusively for guests, please skate at your own risk and suit your own skating skills. We will not be held responsible for any injuries sustained. Please also take out your own accident insurance. (We recommend wearing a protector and helmet.)
  • If property is damaged due to skateboarding, actual costs such as repair costs will be charged.
  • The skate park is available from 9:00 to 18:00. Please note that use at other times is strictly prohibited as it may cause inconvenience to nearby residents.
