室内
室内は喫茶という観点から茶室を現代的に再解釈しデザインしました。
The interior was designed by reinterpreting the traditional tea room in a modern style from the perspective of a café.
スケート庭園
庭は水や日本庭園をテーマに、駐車場や散水栓など、使用することを前提としたスケートで滑れるランドスケープとして。また異質な静けさへの導入として設計しています。
The garden, themed around water and Japanese gardens, is designed as a skateable landscape—complete with a parking lot and a water spigot—intended for practical use. Also it is conceived as an introduction to a unique kind of tranquility.
作品としての空間
然 – SIKARI は、琵琶湖の近く、里山の風景の中に佇む古民家を舞台にした、小さな空間プロジェクトです。日本画の制作を続ける中で、私は光や気配、時間の流れといった、目には見えないものを感じ取ることに関心を持ってきました。その感覚を絵画の中だけではなく、建築や自然、そこで過ごす時間そのものへ広げる試みとして、この場所を少しずつ手を入れながら作り続けています。
障子を通る柔らかな光、内と外の境界が曖昧になる空間、季節によって変化する風景や音。然では、自然と完全に分け隔てるのではなく、その気配を感じながら過ごす時間を大切にしています。
隣接するスケートランドスケープも、この場所の一部です。
身体を動かすための場所でありながら、人のいない時には周囲の風景の中に静かに存在します。
光、音、風、季節、そしてそこで過ごす時間。然での滞在が、日常の中にある小さな変化や感覚に気づくきっかけになれば嬉しく思います。
然は完成した場所ではありません。
訪れる人や季節、時間とともに変化し続ける、生きた空間です。

SIKARI is a small ongoing spatial project set within a renovated traditional Japanese house surrounded by the rural landscape near Lake Biwa, Japan.
Through my practice as a Nihonga artist, I have long been interested in subtle elements that cannot be fully captured — light, atmosphere, movement, and the passage of time.
SIKARI began as an attempt to extend those sensations beyond painting, into architecture, nature, and the experience of living within a space.
Soft light filtered through shoji screens, the gentle relationship between interior and exterior, changing landscapes, sounds, and seasons.
Rather than separating people from nature, SIKARI invites guests to become aware of the quiet presence of their surroundings.
The skate landscape beside the house is also part of this experience. Created as a place for movement, it becomes a quiet landscape when untouched, existing in dialogue with the surrounding environment.
Light, sound, wind, seasons, and the passing of time all become part of the stay.
SIKARI is not a finished place. It continues to evolve through nature, human presence, and the passage of time — a living space shaped together with those who visit.
